Two popular winter projects at www.forum.hobbyboden.com have been the so-called Karius and Baktus shawls. I did the Baktus one during Christmas, but the Karius – all those purl stitches - no thanks.
But why not knitting it by using the hard to never used knitting machine.Started yesterday afternoon and finished it in a jiffy.
Karius is made of slightly more than two skeins of Koigu Painter’s Premium Pattern (KPPM) (119 g in total). It drapes really well and a fast and fun project to make.
Baktus is made from lots and lots of leftovers and Rowans old KaffeFassett KidSilk brand.
And then to something complete different. My grandmothers “fruit bowl” – I can’t make up my mind if it is ugly or really nice.
For the Accounts (only);
From October 15th 2008 I’ve used 5350 g yarn (finished projects only). Restarting today for 2009. Also Karius is project 1 finished in 2009
